The story behind wotsGOOD, and why it exists.

The Story

I woke up in ICU, on life support, without any memory of how I got there. A brain aneurysm had taken weeks from me, weeks I don't remember, including writing a letter to my family that my husband later framed, one I have no memory of writing at all. Doctors told me five percent of people come back from something like that the way I did. It took the better part of a year to fully recover.

Before that moment, I'd spent decades building. I built and ran a multi-million dollar business, in an industry that wasn't exactly built for women to lead in. I raised three children alongside it. From the outside, it looked like I had it together, the business, the family, the drive. What that year in recovery gave me was the space to ask a harder question: was I actually living, or just getting through it.

wotsGOOD came out of the answer. Not as a pivot away from business, but as everything I'd learned about leadership, pressure and resilience, combined with what that experience taught me about clarity and purpose. It's why the work isn't just mindset, and it isn't just strategy, it's both, because I've needed both to get to where I am.

How this shows up in the work today

For individuals: I know what it's like to keep going without ever stopping to ask if you're actually okay. The tools I teach aren't theoretical, they're what I wish someone had handed me decades earlier.

For business owners and teams: I've led through pressure most people never see from the outside, in an industry that didn't make it easy. When I coach a business owner or a team, I'm not working from a textbook, I'm working from having actually been in the seat.

For event audiences: When I speak, I'm not sharing a highlight reel. I'm sharing what it actually took, the hard decisions, the health scare, the rebuild, because that's what actually reaches a room.

Outside the work

Away from wotsGOOD, I'm still, first, a wife and a mother of three. That part of my life is exactly why the message matters to me, real change has to hold up in the middle of a busy, imperfect, real life, not just in a quiet moment of reflection.

What I believe now

I believe real change doesn't come from theory, it comes from tools that actually hold up when life gets hard. I believe clarity isn't something you wait to feel, it's something you build. And I believe the people who've been through something real are often the ones best placed to help others through it too.

That's the belief wotsGOOD is built on, whether that's someone working through a course on their own time, a business owner who needs someone who's actually been in the seat, or a room full of people who need to hear it straight, not sugar-coated.
